Time Zone is wrong in the articles I post
[Index as: news reader trouble ; time zone in date header]
Background
When you write an article, the news reader automatically adds some message headers. One of these is the Date: field. This is usually a combination of the system clock time and the time zone.
Some news readers have timezone as a built-in configuration, in most others setting the TZ environment variable is necessary. (TZ=EST5EDT is a common setting.)
Consult the specific documentation for the news reader software.
