4.2.9. Execution paths for innd and rnews |
---|
All control messages (other then ``cancel'') are carried out by scripts. Your system must be able to exec shell scripts directly. All the scripts distributed with INN start with ``#! /bin/sh.'' The _PATH_CONTROLPROGS parameter specifies the directory where these scripts exist. Do not set this to a public directory like /bin because some bozo might send out an ``rm'' control message. The _PATH_RNEWSPROGS directory serves the same purpose for rnews when it needs to unpack batches. The RNEWSPROGS parameter specifies if the directory is really used. |
