inn1.5.1corr/1.7
The detailed history of the INN series can be read at:

Advantages of 1.5.1corr/1.7 over 1.5.1sec2, and 1.6b3
"Closer" to 1.5.1, which makes installing third party patches easier. At the same time, fixes string buffer defects dealing with external strings.
No need for snprintf() which is needed for 1.5.1sec2 and 1.6b3. snprintf is not part of many libraries. Although one is included in 1.5.1sec2 and 1.6b3, it is not as portable as the rest of INN code. Some tweaking of compile options and libraries which are linked may be necessary.
Fixes more defects than 1.5.1sec2, without the feature changes of 1.6b3. The additional features in 1.6 (missing in 1.7) are described in my message to inn-workers:
http://www.mibsoftware.com/userkt/inn/dev/inn-workers/vol9709/xcb.htm
Most of these features are available as third-party patches to 1.5.1 (and should work with little trouble in 1.7.)
How to get 1.5.1corr and 1.7
The ISC has picked up 1.5.1corr and renamed it 1.7. No compensation was given to Mib Software for this transfer.
